She asked that we use orange, gray, and blue...I hope she likes what I put together.
I might make a few more...but solid prints ONLY. I love this block.
And to squeeze in a tiny bit more sewing time this afternoon I gave Colette the camera and she busied herself with taking a few pictures...the ones of me have been deleted, but this was a favorite picture she took of my desk:
And a big thank you for the red cross blocks I received over the past few days. I called my LQS about quilting it for me and Julie said she would do it for FREE since it is a fundraiser!!!
HOORAY.
She also told me the shop is closing in May. BOO HISS. She wants to concentrate on her family and I can't think of a better reason to close shop...but still I will be said to see a local quilt shop close.
What a bummer about the local shop! Good shops are so hard to come by it seems!
ReplyDeleteWow -- that's a sad surprise. ;-( How nice of Julie to quilt your quilt for you though. Love the picture of your desk! (Oh, and why do you only like solids for the blocks -- I think they look great!
ReplyDeleteGood looking blocks! Let me know if you need some more charity blocks in the future. I would love to help.
ReplyDeleteMy five year old loves taking pictures with the camera. She has caught some great shots too!
