it's taking over our house!

So my quilting can no longer be contained in the sewing room!
I have the backing for my 1974 postage stamp quilt laying over a quilt rack in the living room....

I am working on backing for my neutral quilt...I really wanted the riding clothes for the entire back (it is SO soft) but I don't have enough of the gray fabric, so I'm going to use some of the textured solid blue for the other half....now I need to find a quilter...I think I want this one quilted in fans...very traditional, but it appeals to me.
Let us continue upstairs into our bedroom where I'm working on my quilt for 100 Quilts for Kids.
and finally...my fantastic score of vintage fabrics and feedsacks from an auction this weekend.  I think some of these might be headed to ebay to cover my costs and sedate my husband a bit...

so do you even want to guess what the sewing room looks like???

  3. Does it look like a bomb went off. Or did you move everything out of there to keep it neat, and just make everywhere else very colorful.

  6. A girl needs room to spread out... and you have to keep those project seperate so they don't get mixed up... this all seems reasonable to me :)

  7. As a mom of six, I can tell you that any quilting project must be picked up in time to make dinner. Don't get out more than you can do in that amount of time, or you are doomed, your children will wreck it, and your husband will not be the happy man that you know he can be. Just sayin'...

  8. Hahaha -- looks like a true quilters home! I just realized, did I ever answer your question about the quilter? In case I didn't, I do my own quilting, except for some hand quilting which I'll send out once in awhile. Sorry I'm not more help!
