Not in everything in life, I assure you, but with winning fabric/crafty giveaway's I am a bit charmed.
My current streak started back in October when I won Cathy's giveaway. It was the most productive giveaway ever! I made loads of Christmas presents with that awesome FQ bundle! (Thanks again Cathy!)
and incidentally, Cathy has a great online shop with lots of great sales right now!
And I blogged about my win of Art Gallery Fabrics just a few weeks ago.
And now...now the grand daddy of most coveted giveaways...in my book anyway...I won a Fat Eighth bundle of French General's La Petite Ecole hosted by Sherri and sponsored by Green Fairy Quilts.
(picture borrowed from Green Fairy Quilts...I sure hope that is ok!)
Thank you so much Sherri and thank you Judi and Clint. I am so excited!
So you see...I am a lucky girl...and what better way to show my gratitude toward all the crafty bloggers that host giveaways, but than to host one myself?
I just finished sewing together the postage stamp blocks...thank you everyone for your input in the last post...in the end, I sewed them all together as is. I got a comment stating that since I love postage stamp quilts, chances are I probably still do, and that prompted me to just follow thru with the quilt as is.
So...giving back...yes...I got a lot of comments here and on Flickr about everyone's love of the Urban Chiks 1974 line...so I thought I would pull my stash and give away my own FE bundle!
Please leave a comment below...and I will pick a winner next Sunday, February 6th.

This stack of red is all about Giving Back part 2, and that will be my next post in the following days...but can anyone explain how someone who has as much fabric as I do could only pull these predominantly red fabrics from her stash????
so cool. love the fabric. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteSo lucky you are! I haven't been that lucky lately, but here's to hoping my luck changes soon!
ReplyDeleteThe postage stamp quilt came out great, after all that debate. How cool that you're sharing the luck-- and with such awesome fabrics! Thanks for a chance.
ReplyDeleteOk I have to admit I have been fairly lucky winning 2 quilts, 2 charm sq packs, 2 patterns and a rotary cutter but Ho can I win the large bundles like you do!? Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! And thanks for paying forward your luck, that's awesome! I love 1974--I managed to scoop up a bit here and there, but I missed the boat on it when it first came out. Ah well!
ReplyDeleteI knew there was a reason why I gave up on entering all those contests ... hehe! You keep winning them! Congrats! I've never seen the 1974 line, I really love!
ReplyDeleteThe fabric is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI have read about the 1974 , but hadn't taken a peek yet...it is lovely! (and only 1 year off my birth year...maybe I'll get lucky!)
ReplyDeleteThat's my year! Although I remember more avocado green and yellow in the baby pictures. I love the quilt as is.
ReplyDeleteohmygah please pick meeeeee! That stack of 1974 gives me heart palpitations! <3<3<3

I would love to win your FE bundle....what great fabrics. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou've had some great wins! Aren't our stashes funny? I have a ton of fabric, yet whenever I need something or a certain color, I just seem to not have what I want -- how can that be??? Your giveaway is lovely!
ReplyDeleteWow you certainly have had some wonderful luck! Love your postage stamp quilt as is~ no borders. :-) Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI once had a winning streak as well, but then it somehow fizzled out. Perhaps if I won your 1974 FEs it would rekindle it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to enter Jenny! Those greys look lovely! =)
ReplyDeleteYou lucky girl! You won 3 giveaways that had me drooling. Thank you for sharing the gorgeous FEs of 1974.

ReplyDeleteI think your postage stamp quilt is awesome! Maybe you wanna give that away?? LOL, just kidding!
ReplyDeleteYou are a generous soul for giving away such a great FQ bundle. Thanks for the chance.
Ooooh, *sticks hand up* Can I play too? I NEVER win giveaways..I think I'm jinxed..maybe it's because I don't actually need any more fabric in my stash (or so says dh!!) ha, ha, anyway, I'm giving it a go and crossing fingers toes and everything else. Thank you for the opportunity ♥
ReplyDeleteYou are a very lucky lady! I never seem to win anything but I haven't given up yet. One day it might just be me! Thank you for giving away such a lovely fabric.
ReplyDeleteHi Jenny! Thanks for sharing the fabric love. You are indeed lucky with your fabric wins and I hope to join you in your luck ;).
ReplyDeleteWoah, these fabrics are eyecandy! And it's my year, I was born in 1974!

Thanks so much for the chance -- very pretty fabrics. I hope you end up loving your quilt; I think it's great, myself! Thanks for sharing the wealth!
ReplyDeleteOoh a giveaway and a chance to make a difference, yay :-) I will be sending you a block..I'll have to get my skates on though as I am sending it from far far away!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! Sign me up! :-)
ReplyDeleteI would like to send you a block too! My email is crystalstanworth@gmail.com - thanks!!
ReplyDeleteI've learned my lesson about committing to something like this... I am not very reliable. So this as soon as I read your post I sat right down and made you a block. It was so much fun, I made another! So now I can tell you for certain - I will make you two blocks.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway! I would love to win this! : )
ReplyDeleteAwesome giveaway!! Love the fabrics!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to contribute a few blocks. Great cause - great idea!!
ReplyDeleteI'd be happy to make you a block! It'll give me an excuse to sew something quick and quilt-related while I do the shirt sew-along. So if you want it to be 9.5 inches high, how wide should it be? I see yours aren't square.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win your generous 1974 giveaway, Jenny! They're gorgeous fabrics! I didn't realize you had been so lucky lately. Congrats! =)
ReplyDeleteGreat fabric! I love the houndstooth. I'm going to check to see if I have any reds for your cross blocks.
ReplyDeleteGreat fabrics - I love the simple lines and geometric shapes! I'd love to be considered for the giveaway, thanks!
ReplyDeleteJoanne, cried2dream@gmail.com

ReplyDeleteAgain, can't wait to make a block! Glad to help with a good cause.
