My bee month

So it is March and that means my 'bee' month.  very exciting.  I meant to be more organized, and have my fabric mailed out to the bee members before the end of the month, but being sick 1/2 of February really threw my month's productivity level off!

I mailed packets of Kona cottons to everyone...both bee!  Odd that I ended up having March in both monthes, but nice I think.  I sent everyone a fat eighth of Kona Snow and then some scraps of every color I could pull together.

Hoping for flying geese, friendship stars, liberated stars and shoo fly blocks to make their way back to me over the next 2 months.

The color wheel quilt is for Hugo's room, and these blocks will be for his room also.  Two twin beds in his room.  Here are a few sample blocks i made for the quilt:

I hope everyone has a good time with this month's block.
You can click on the links on the right to see my full explanation on these blocks, and my final goal.

And for a bit of inspiration, you should check out my friend Em's "napkin" quilt

and make sure you click to her 'home' cause she has a giveaway going on right now for a fantastic quilt!  She is giving away a quilt!!  make sure you enter to win!

  1. Love your choices for your bee! The colors and contrast on that friendship start work fabulously. Looks like a fun project to work on.

  2. Sick half of February? No wonder I haven't heard from you in awhile. Get well! Can't wait to start your blocks.

  3. I'm glad that you are doing better! Weeks of being sick is aweful!

    Pretty colors!!!!

  4. I received the package and the colors are so crisp and awesom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved the cowboy boot stickers the most :)!!! So excited to contribute something for your sweet little one.

  5. I love solids!!! Yay! The colours are great. Sorry you were sick so long, it's good to have you back :-)
