I'm really proud of this one and so grateful to all of you who sent blocks to help make the quilt!
Just finished last night at 1am and dropped it off this morning for auction. The quilt finished at 62x90 and I think will make a great twin size bed quilt or nice big couch quilt.
The auction will be Saturday. Here is more information on the fundraiser.
Here is the back of the quilt:
And here....is the very scary amount of red on my FIVE Shout Color Catchers.
Thanks again to everyone who sent blocks. I am so pleased with this quilt and to help raise funds for AIDS awareness.
Now, if you will excuse me......
This is what my sewing area looks like...and believe me, it doesn't get any better around the corners!
I think it is still bleeding. I'd wash it until the color catcher comes out light pink....But I like it!!
ReplyDeleteWell done! The quilt came out great.
ReplyDeleteThat is really cool! I love the binding fabric too!
ReplyDeleteJenny, it turned out beautifully!
ReplyDeleteIt's so beautiful! I wish I was there to bid on it. What a wonderful job you did on it.
ReplyDeleteI love it!! You did an awesome job getting this all togther beautifully!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing! Great job Jenny!
ReplyDeleteThat turned out amazing!!!! And those color catchers are too funny. Just to be on the safe side, I would send one with the quilt.
ReplyDeleteLove love love that quilt Jenny. Very eye catching. As for those colour catchers, I've never used them, might have to give them a go! xo
ReplyDeleteJust tremendous - I love it!
ReplyDeleteLooks great!! Glad I could contribute! : )
ReplyDeleteGorgeous quilt - I love the bonus blocks on the back! I hope it raises a ton of $$$ :)
ReplyDeleteRed is such a sneaky colour - I would add a couple of sheets with the quilt for the auction - the winner will wash it alone due to the size, but I see some white/light strips in it that might discolour if the red is still running. Those cc sheets really are AMAZING - I wish they would start selling them here in Canada (I get them Stateside on our Joanns runs, lol).
